The latest venture from Henstone is Nonpareil brandy. It all began when Henstone Distillery in Shropshire installed the largest still in Shropshire, named Hilda. Then, Henstone began distilling Stonehouse Brewery Sweeney Mountain cider, made with the Sweeney Nonpareil variety, to produce the cider spirit which is then aged in virgin oak casks. Behold, Nonpareil apple brandy was born.
Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: Finish is lingering.
