Produced on the Isles of Scilly just off the Cornish coast, it’s Island Gin from Scilly Spirit! The distillery is based on St Mary’s, and the recipe was inspired by a ship wreck on the island back in 1665. The ship was carrying Javan pepper, so that’s there as one of the six botanicals which represent the oarsmen. The folks behind the gin are very focused on sustainability, composting used botanicals and encouraging gin lovers to reuse their bottles after they’ve finished the spirit!
Nose: Aroma is very pleasant.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish: Finish is lingering.
