Detailed Description
Lallier BLANC DE BLANCS is born from a reflection around Chardonnay grapes from Aÿ and from the Côte des Blancs, both grown on pure chalk soils. Lallier’s Blanc de Blancs is unique in its provenance; while Côte des Blancs is highly reputed for Chardonnay, Lallier creatively blends it with a less expected terroir for Chardonnay grapes – Ay – reaching the perfect balance of Purity and Intensity.
Lallier Blanc De Blancs Grand Cru Champagne Tasting Notes
Nose: Very fine and delicate bubbles, a light yellow colour with emerald reflections. The notes are floral (hawthorn, acacia, vine flowers) with pastry notes (fresh butter, hazelnut and praline).
Palate: On the palate, the legendary purity and freshness of Chardonnay dominate, but the Aÿ terroir also brings a tender generosity and a delicate power.
Finish: The finish is tense and mineral, a testimony to the chalky terroir. The length is dominated by fresh citrus notes (lemon, yuzu).
