Detailed Description
8 Mesas tequila was founded in 2010 and named for the “Valley of 8 Mesas” in Tamaulipas (interesting because most tequila is made in Jalisco). Several press articles quote the marketing tagline that 8 Mesas is “rescuing the Tamaulipas tradition of tequila.” The 8 Mesas Reposado is rested (“reposado”) in American white oak for between 2 and 11 months prior to bottling, giving the normally clear tequila a light color and softening flavor. They suggest looking for citrus “accents” in the flavor.
