Absinthe Bitters : This is made with two different types of wormwood (the herb that imparts absinthe much of its flavour), Roman Wormwood and Pontica Wormwood. Thujone, the ingredient which gave absinthe the reputation that precedes it, is highly regulated in Australia, but The Great Southern Distilling Company have used the highest amount they legally could. This is also why they had to label it Absinthe ‘Bitters’.
Nose: Full-bodied aroma.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not to smoky but silky smooth.
Finish: Finish is lingering.
