Another addition to Scapegrace Gin’s Uncommon series, inspired by warm summer nights in the Hawke’s Bay region of New Zealand, and focusing on the flavours of leftover crops. The botanical stars here are raspberry leaf, pear, and olive, preserved past their natural harvest.

Nose: Vegetal olive is balanced by fresh raspberry, pear skin, a touch floral, with juniper and citrus on the tail.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced.

Finish: Finish is very smooth and long.

Distillery Information

Scapegrace Gin was founded in 2014 in New Zealand by two brothers-in-law who bonded over how they both wanted to make their own gin. So, they decided to do just that. It’s distilled at the foothills of the New Zealand Southern Alps using a whisky still from the 19th century, stumbled upon in a long abandoned shed. Originally, the gin was known as Rogue Society. However, In 2017 the gin hit the European market and due to a copyright issue with similarly named brewery offering, the brand was forced to come up with a new name for the EU market. Thus, Scapegrace Gin was born.
