Detailed Description
9 di Dante once again takes inspiration from Dante’s Inferno for another fab Italian vermouth. This time, it’s an extra dry vermouth dubbed Purgatorio, featuring Arneis DOC wine at its core, with herbaceous hints and crisp citrus notes developing along the way. Sure to make for a fantastic Martini, but should also do well simply served with chilled water, ice, and a lemon twist.
9 di Dante Purgatorio Tasting Notes
Nose: Perfume of pear, fresh flowers, spices and aromatic herbs.
Palate: fresh and dry sip, with a pleasant sweet and bitter note.
Finish: Great elegance and length on the finish.
Distillery Information
9diDANTE is the brainchild of Alex Ouziel, under the experienced mentorship of famed Master Blender Mario Baralis. A product made possible by a chance encounter that has developed into close friendship.Having learnt the Art of Vermouth over 30 years of guarding the secrets of the original Carpano and Antica Formulas, Mario has been happily retired in the Piedmont hills for 20 years. He never saw himself creating a new and original vermouth formula until he crossed paths with Alex and they started discussing how artisanal Piedmont craftsmanship could inspire the taste of a new generation.
