An Italian aperitif, Cocchi Americano has become a popular alternative to the original Kina Lillet. Importantly, it has more quinine bitterness than Lillet Blanc although it is also more spiced in character. The Vesper from Ian Fleming’s 1953 book, Casino Royal and the Corpse Reviver #2 are popular cocktails that come to life with Cocchi Americano.
Nose: Delightful aroma.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
