They make XO in small batches, patiently aged in the deepest charred barrels and bottled at 84 proof to maintain their approach to big flavor. It’s a rather woody blend, with spicy aromas, complex but remains round. This rich Armagnac brings oak and leather together with slightly sweet notes of flower and fruit. They happen to use the highest quality grapes. It’s what gives you that unique spicy, smooth flavor that changes your cocktails forever.
Nose: The scents of caramel and maple syrup, followed by spices such as nutmeg, vanilla and white pepper, greet you in a way the sun’s early rays lay on the vineyards in Gascony.
Palate: The palate is soft and consistent with the nose, offering butter scotch, tobacco, leather and roasted nuts as well.
Finish: Dark cherry and prunes are little by little pushing to the front, refreshed by a dry apricot and orange zest presence.
