Bringing the flavor of ripe, juicy blood oranges, EFFEN® Blood Orange Vodka is smooth enough to sip on its own and adds a sweet, citrus zest to your favorite mixers.
Nose: Aromas of fresh squeezed orange juice with a hint of vanilla.
Palate: Sweet, natural orange flavor is fresh and juicy fading with a slight peppery note.
Finish: Finishes lightly dry.
The company was founded in 1888. Hooghoudt’s products include gin, vodka and beerenburg. The family company was founded in 1888 by Hero Jan Hooghoudt, who had been a baker. The distillery was based in the inner city of Groningen, but has since moved to a new complex in business area Euvelgunne. The distillery employs between 50–100 and estimated revenue is 10 to 25 million euros.
