Similar to their vodka, Spring 44 Gin is made from what they describe as a “proprietary blend of American-grown grain.” The infusions are described as floral, citrus zest, and juniper–the floral implies a bit of a modern flavor profile but for the moment we have opted to list it as a classic dry style gin. (In a favorable review by the Gin Sin, they descibe it as something in between a classic and modern gin.)

Spring 44 Gin Tasting Notes

Nose: Initially floral, with notes of lemon zest giving way to juniper spiciness.

Palate: Delightfully citrus on the front palate with lemon and lime zest. Mid palate showcases the juniper with hints of cinnamon and green tea.

Finish: Finish is nicely dry and floral with distinct notes of jasmine and lavender.

The word temperance means “total abstinence from all alcholic liquors.” Company is located in Temperance, MI. Full name is Temperance Distilling Company. Today They have over 60 clients producing more than 100 unique beverages for all different markets, demands, tastes, and locations. Pretty much the furthest thing from total abstinence.
