Fundador is the market-leading Spanish grape brandy. Made using Airen and Palomino grapes, Fundador (literally ‘Founder’) was the first brand marketed as a ‘Brandy de Jerez and is aged in a sherry-soaked Solera.
Fundador Solera Reserva Brandy Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich spice and brandy butter. Hints of fruitcake and dried apricot. Pepper.
Palate: Thick, creamy palate with Christmas pudding, vanilla custard, baked apples and spice.
Finish: Medium finish with lingering apricot and spice.
Distillery Information
Casa Pedro Domecq was established in 1972 owned by the same company that produces El Presidente Brandy. Domecq is the second largest wine producer in Mexico after L. A. Cetto, which is located across the road. The winery is ofened reffered to as just Domecq.
